A 21st Century Commission

Christian TV & Radio have been fantastically good at being church for the house-bound and furthering the message amongst the network of believers, but Christian media is not popular with secular audiences. Network television is heavily ratings driven and controlled by a few key people who decide on almost every programme that appears on our screens, which leaves us with only two main ways to be invited into someone’s living room in order to speak the message of Life; Film & the Internet. The Internet allows us to obtain and interact with a huge volume of information and the church is beginning to embrace this medium as a powerful tool – but the model that Jesus himself gave us when sharing truth was to embrace the power of telling stories. This is where film is difficult to ignore.
